Ms. Castro’s immigration law practice focuses on asylum applications, victim visas, spousal-based immigrant visas, fiancé visas, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, naturalization, provisional waivers, and adjustment of status applications. She also represents clients in removal proceedings.

Ms. Castro received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of the Sacred Heart in 2003, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2007. She was admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico in 2008.

Since December 2015, Ms. Castro is the Immigration Counselor for the Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA); a nonprofit organization that serves migrant families in rural areas across Florida. Through a two year Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC) Fellowship, she aids RCMA in increasing the reach of quality pro bono immigration legal service, outreach, and public education in underserved areas.

In Puerto Rico, Ms. Castro worked in a boutique law firm specialized in Social Security Disability cases. She was in charge of preparing the cases that reached the administrative hearing stage, and participating in hearings representing disabled clients.

Ms. Castro is a native Spanish speaker of Puerto Rico, and has lived in Florida since 2016.
